Robotics -- The Smart House

Your task today is to set your ideas to solve the following problem.

Here is the problem.

We are now in the 21^st Century. We are building our houses in much the same way that we have always built houses. They have a frame, walls, roof, water pipes and some electrical appliances. In Australia, buying a house is the most expensive single purchase you can make. Our houses, however are not very smart. How can we make our houses smarter?

We will not have the time to build a complete house. We will start by building a control module.
