• Must be made using wood, metal and an electrical motor or electrical circuit
• Must have at least one moving part
• Must be capable of being controlled by a computer relay
• Must fit into the storage box or cupboards provided by the teacher
• Must be safe and amusing
• Must be capable of being scaled into a full size working object
