Mt Buffalo

A granite jumble of boulders, Mt Buffalo is visible from Hume Highway near Wangaratta.  It is very well known, but even here there are some places that are infrequently visited.

the grass plains of Mt Buffalo are full of daisies in summer from Mt Dunn the top of Mt Buffalo looks like a jumble of granite boulders old iron ladders show that travellers have been enjoying Mt Buffalo for many years
at last we reach the western edge of Mt Buffalo the brilliant blue of the Wahlenbergia species some boulders are more comfortable than others
you can never quite find the top of Gog and Magog yes .. they bite! from the Horn we look towards the south .. rolling mountains and clouds
