The Razor, Mt Speculation and Mt Howitt

If you continue walking west for one day from the spectacular Viking, you finally reach Mt Speculation.  The next day, walking south over the aptly named Crosscut Saw the track lead to Mt Howitt

Acacia siculiformis scratches our legs as we push along the Razor We begin to leave the conglomerate rock that forms the razor and enter the tree covered Mt Despair Looking east from the Razor ridge and we see the dominant western side of the Viking
Looking north from the Razor and you can see the wedding cake shape of Mt Cobbler early next morning the sun rises over the Wonnangatta river valley Looking north from Mt Speculation you will see Mt Buggery and the Crosscut saw
walkers wind their way north back over the Crosscut Saw in early November you may even find the remnant of a heavy winter snow on the summit of Mt Howitt now the circuit is almost complete, in the north east the profile of the Viking and our campsite at Viking saddle
