Kosciuszko in Spring

In late September, 2000, the winter snow still covered the upper slopes of the Kosciusko range.  You can ski from the Thredbo chairlift to Perisher resort via Mt Kosciuszko.

when the cloud descends you must follow the pole line from Rawson's pass Seaman's hut is a memorial for two skiiers who died near here in the 1920s the snow was slow, the sun was hot but the  Charlotte Pass road was peaceful
Approaching Perisher you ski beside Betts creek emerging from the thawing snow take the ski tube and you can ski amongst Perisher snowgums of Blue Cow from the Thredbo Diggings picnic ground the snowy summits seem far away
