The Arches

Rarely visited the arches are hard to find, but well worth the scramble

The western ramparts of the Victoria Range disappear under cloud double arches, big arches and hidden arches. You have to know what you are looking for, if you are to find them in the Victoria Range along the creek valleys the showy Bauera sessiliflora reveal the semi-permanent water sources
we approach the Arch everywhere we move the wet, prickly but beautiful pink heath blocks our path too large to photograph from inside, we can only show the view south from the top of the Arch
September is too early for the peas, but here Daviesia brevifolia caught our attention with its unusual colour the single bell of the red Correa reflexa contrasts with the subtle colour of the pink and the green Correa as we leave the ranges behind us we must cross the foamy creeks
